On Saturday, June 8, the PHASE (Peace Hills Academy of Speed and Endurance) track and field team will host the second annual Madi Sprint Challenge, a community fundraiser held in memory of Madi Stephan.
Organized in partnership with the Live Like Madi Foundation, the event honours Stephan’s enduring spirit and passion for sport and community. Stephan, was killed in a car accident in 2019 at the age of 22.
The Madi Sprint Challenge is more than just a race — it’s a day of remembrance, movement, and unity. Funds raised will go toward supporting the PHASE track and field team, helping athletes gain access to training, equipment, and competition opportunities as they strive for excellence.
In addition to the races, the event will feature a silent auction and concession, so attendees are encouraged to bring cash and support local youth athletics in multiple ways.
This meaningful day is a chance for the community to come together, celebrate Madi’s life, and carry forward her legacy of resilience, kindness, and determination.
Everyone is welcome — run, walk, cheer, bid, and eat in support of a great cause. It will take place at the Norm Brown Field, registration will open at 11 a.m.
