Gwynne Valley Ski Area Gwynne Valley Ski Area The Gwynne Valley Ski Area is run by The Wetaskiwin Ski Club. Go to the first stop sign (1km), turn west following the old Hi-way.

It is a non-profit society with the goal of providing affordable and easily accessible recreation. In order to keep prices low most of the work that is done at the Gwynne Ski Hill is done by volunteers. We have a tow rope to get the snowboarders up and in the terrian park quickly. The main T-bar goes to the top of the hill and has many runs coming down from the top. There is rental equipment avail

able, including skiis, snowboards, snow blades and helmets. The hill has a north face and is 10km east of Wetaskiwin on Hi-way 13, or 20km west of the junction at Hi-way 21 & Hi-way 13 West of Camrose. The ski area is in the heart of Gwynne Valley, at the south end of coal lake. When you drop down into the valley on Hi-way 13, turn south RR230 (right after the bridge coming from Wetaskiwin). Just before the Hi-way starts up the valley, turn left (south). Looking to the south you will be able to see the lifts and the runs of the ski hill. Follow this windy road, across the rail-way tracks, across another bridge and the hill is the first left. You are welcome to come join us Friday evenings from 6:30 - 9:30 and Saturday & Sunday from 11 - 4:30. There are also special events such as our New Years Eve Deep-Freeze and Family Day. We are always looking for more volunteers to help with ski patrol and other projects.

We appreciate so much every single person who was a part of our 2025/2026 season. Every one of you made each day fun and special. Special shout out to our volunteer ski patrol who showed up and kept the hill safe for every open day. We are looking forward to seeing you again later this year for the 2026/2027 season!

We are open today 11:00-4:30. There is still snow on the hill and runs open however there are less than optimal conditions on other parts of the hill. We have grass and ice and slush after the melt yesterday and some runs may be closed but lots of opportunity for fun and memories as well. Snow is in the forecast this week and we are hoping for a wide open hill again next weekend! We will let you know as we evaluate conditions.
