On Saturday night we celebrated another wonderful year at Westville Curling Club! The BBQ chicken meal from Sizzlers tasted extra good given the nice sunny evening and we recognized some of our talent and history.
For those who don’t know, we are closing on our 125th year! John Thompson shared the story of the Monctonian Spiel and one of our local teams’ attendance. The badges were collected and passed on to Fred Hodder and have been beautifully framed for display at the club.
Awards presentation was done by VP Shaun MacLaughlin and John Thompson. Jason LeBlanc shared with us the story of our newly acquired Shot Broom! Thanks to Marianne Wi******er from Lakeshore Curling Club for the gift ❤️🧹🥃
Afterwards we spent the evening with a friendly cribbage tournament! Congratulations to Duncan MacDonald and John Thompson for winning by a score of +92!!! 💰💰
