🦁 Red Lions Bats Explode in 20-6 Win Over Edmonton Angels 🦁

The Westlock Red Lions kept rolling Sunday afternoon at John Fry Field, defeating the Edmonton Angels 20-6.

🔥 Steve Cote led the offence with a huge day at the plate, driving in 6 runs on two hits, including a bases-clearing triple in the 7th inning.

The Red Lions lineup was firing on all cylinders, collecting 17 hits on the day.
⚾ Derek Lofstrand went 3-for-6 while adding key RBIs.
⚾ Nate Day, Hayden Rake, and Leyton Sharrun each collected multiple hits.

On the mound, Jared Lamb got the start, allowing just one run over three innings. Derek Lofstrand and Ayden Cote came out of the bullpen to close things down, with Cote striking out all three batters he faced in a perfect inning of relief.

Westlock improves to 8-1 on the season and will look to keep the momentum going Thursday night when they take on the St. Albert Cardinals.

Red Lions Stay Perfect at Keller Field With 8-2 Win Over Barrhead

The Westlock Red Lions kept rolling Tuesday night, defeating the Barrhead Orioles 8-2 at Keller Field.

Westlock jumped out early with a Leyton Sharrun RBI double in the 1st inning before adding four more runs in the 2nd. Travis Wagner delivered a two-run single, while Derek Lofstrand and Jared Lamb helped extend the lead.

Sharrun added some power late, launching a solo home run to left field in the 6th inning.

On the mound, Hiragi Rokutan went the distance, throwing a complete game while allowing just two hits and one earned run, striking out five.

Wagner and Sharrun led the offence with two hits each, while Wagner, Sharrun, and Lofstrand each drove in two runs.

The Red Lions improve to 7-1 on the season and remain undefeated at Keller Field.

The Westlock Red Lions look to keep their undefeated home record alive Tuesday night as they host the Barrhead Orioles at Keller Field.

Westlock comes in with a 6-1 record and has been perfect at home so far this season. Isaac Edwards will be a player to watch, hitting .500 with runners in scoring position and coming through in key spots.

The Westlock Red Lions picked up a big 7–0 win over the Parkland Twins Thursday night at Keller Field behind a strong outing from Ayden Cote.

Cote threw a complete game shutout, keeping Parkland off the scoreboard all night.

Westlock broke the game open with four runs in the fifth inning, highlighted by Leyton Sharrun’s two-run single. Sean Beaudoin and Sharrun each drove in two runs, while the Red Lions showed patience at the plate with 11 walks and added four stolen bases.

Tonight’s Red Lions game has been cancelled due to weather and will be rescheduled for a later date.

The Red Lions are scheduled to be back in action Thursday, June 4 as they host the Parkland Twins at Keller Field — weather depending.

The Westlock Red Lions picked up another big win Thursday night, shutting out Legal 11-0 on the road.

Kyle Lawrence and Ayden Cote combined on the mound to keep Legal off the scoreboard, while Derek Lofstrand and Hayden Rau each went deep to lead the offense.

With the victory, the Red Lions improve to 5-1 on the season.

Next up, the Red Lions hit the road on Tuesday, June 2, as they take on the St. Albert Cardinals. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 PM.

The Westlock Red Lions are back in action Thursday night as they travel to Citadel Park to take on the Legal Primeaus.

Westlock comes in with a 4-1 record and will look to keep the bats rolling after a big 17-4 win over the Edmonton Angels. The Red Lions have been strong with runners in scoring position this season, hitting .338 in those situations.

Hayden Chies enters the game swinging a hot bat with a 3-game hitting streak. He went 2-for-2 with two RBIs last game and has three doubles on the season.

Legal also comes in at 4-1 after a 6-3 win over the St. Albert Cardinals, making this a big early-season matchup between two strong teams.
