🤸‍♀️ WEST K DANCE ACRO INTENSIVE | AUGUST 18–20 🤸‍♂️

Three days of Acro training designed to build strength, technique, confidence and creativity! Join guest instructor Miles Kroeker and Destiny Moore for specialized training in partner Acro, hand balancing, tumbling and seamlessly incorporating Acro into choreography.

📅 AUGUST 18 | PARTNER ACRO
⏰ 9:30 AM–12:30 PM
✨ Instructor: Destiny Moore

Work on partner skills, technique, strength and trust while developing new Acro skills and combinations.

📅 AUGUST 19 | HAND BALANCING + ACRO FLOW
✨ Instructor: Miles Kroeker

Dancers will explore the mechanics of hand balancing along with fluid flow-fusion, learning how to integrate acrobatics naturally and creatively into their dancing through transitions, choreography and musicality.

📅 AUGUST 20 | TUMBLING

Build confidence, technique and power while working on tumbling skills and progressions.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS

⭐ MILES KROEKER
Miles brings an incredibly diverse movement background to the studio, with training in calisthenics, yoga, contact improv, acrobatics, martial arts, massage therapy and osteopathy. His travels and studies eventually led him to dance and circus arts, where movement, rhythm and emotion come together. Miles is passionate about sharing his knowledge and helping the next generation discover greater freedom and creativity through movement.

⭐ DESTINY MOORE
Destiny has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Acro and Hip-Hop since age six and was a member of The Young Canadians performing arts group. With 10+ years of experience teaching gymnastics, dance and Acro, she holds Level 1 Gymnastics and Acrobatic Arts teaching certifications. Destiny has also trained award-winning Acro soloists and is passionate about helping dancers develop strong technique, confidence and a love of movement.

Momentum Intensive Update 💙

Due to the ongoing wildfires, Ava is unfortunately unable to join us for this week’s Momentum Intensive.

We are so grateful that Harmony Appell will be joining us for Tuesday and Wednesday, with Phoenix Wilson teaching Thursday. We’re excited for our dancers to learn from two incredible educators and know it will be an inspiring week of training.

Meet Harmony Appell ✨
An accomplished dancer, choreographer, and educator, Harmony has over 20 years of training and teaching experience. She has trained with Canada’s leading dance institutions, earned numerous choreography awards, and is passionate about helping dancers grow in both confidence and technique.

Meet Phoenix Wilson ✨
Phoenix is a versatile dancer and instructor trained in tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, ballet, lyrical, musical theatre, and acro. She has competed across North America, represented Team Canada in tap, and loves inspiring dancers to reach their full potential through positive, encouraging instruction.

Most importantly, our hearts are with everyone impacted by the wildfires. We are thinking of the families, communities, and businesses affected, and we are incredibly grateful to the firefighters, emergency responders, and volunteers working tirelessly to keep everyone safe. ❤️

We can’t wait to welcome our dancers this week and make the most of every moment together.
