Pre-exhaust superset of the triceps. Cable triceps kickback followed by one arm dumbbell overhead press. Advantage of using cable for kickback instead of a dumbbell is that you don't have to expend energy holding the weight in position.

Revisiting power training with stabilization. One full set starting on a BOSU ball, jumping up with both feet and landing on it with a single-leg. It may not look pretty for each rep and it doesn't have to. If you're struggling just a bit, it means that you will benefit from the exercise. The moment it looks perfect for each rep that you do, you need to change it up a bit to make it more challenging for your stabilizers.

Giving the twist board a go. This really forces you to engage the body to create counter-rotation. The last rep shows what happens when the body isn't properly engaged.

Single-leg squat touchdown. Great exercise to train your balance while strengthening the stabilizers for the movement. Add the overhead reach to further the challenge on your stabilizers.

It's another round of Wacky Wednesday. Johnny once again shows us creative ways to use the biceps curl machine. Doing curls outside of the machine, but still using the machine, plus some upright rows. Hilarity would ensue should he be closer to the handles by a good two inches.

If you're struggling to do a pistol squat, here is a progression that can help you with that. A suspension trainer (TRX, gymnastic rings, etc.) can assist you in that. Start with holding on to the suspension trainer with both hands, then progress to holding on with one hand, and finally without the assistance of a suspension trainer.

This is how Hollywood will likely portray my life. "Stay away from my client." "Wing Chun, Etoile " "Wing Chun, Calvin." It's a battle at the gym each day as to who has the rights to train certain clients. Why Wing Chun? Were you inspired by Ip Man, or Red Belt? Red Belt certainly didn't make me want to do BJJ any more than I already did. Beating up 10 Japanese black belts at once vs. escaping a single unbeatable submission. No comparision in the world of cinematography.
