What a great weekend! 🥋

The Edmonton Internationals was filled with some really well fought matches, and our club brought home 4 medals!

🥈 Riley — 2nd place
🥉 Sapphire — 3rd place
🥈 Max — 2nd place
🥉 Amelia — 3rd place

Ryder fought exceptionally hard this weekend and gave it everything he had. He came up short in his matches, but showed a lot of heart and determination on the mat!

He also spent the weekend hanging out with Sensei Jordan and got to enjoy everything West Edmonton Mall had to offer, which made the trip even more memorable.

Overall it was a fantastic weekend full of fun, great experience, and competitors who fought extremely hard. Proud of everyone who stepped on the mat! 👏

Unfortunately due to weather conditions and road safety concerns, tonight’s class is canceled.
Athletes, if possible, please get a light workout in at home.
For example:
• Sit-ups
• Push-ups
• Squats
Stay safe and warm.

For my competitive/second class athletes, I’d strongly encourage you to attend the 7:00 PM class. This will be great extra rounds and solid preparation for upcoming tournaments.

The 6:00 PM class is open to anyone who wants to come as well. I may not arrive until the second class, but you’re welcome to attend either.

Not mandatory — but a great opportunity to sharpen up and get quality practice in. Let me know who’s coming 👊

Hey everyone,

After going back and forth on whether to cancel today, we’ve decided it’s best to keep everyone home, warm, and safe. With the snow not letting up, we want to be diligent about everyone’s safety.

We’re now just four classes away from Edmonton Internationals, so please make sure to get some form of exercise in at home to stay sharp and competition-ready. I really didn’t want to cancel today, but safety comes first.

We’re planning to run classes tomorrow — so be ready to take it up a notch and make up for the lost mat time.
