To our friends, guests, members and everyone in the P.E.C. community and beyond,
Yesterday we were made aware of gross and unacceptable comments in regards to a community posting regarding Pride celebrations here in the county. These unfortunately came from an individual who identified himself and has long been a part of our team at the Wellington Golf Course. This individual has subsequently been removed from our staff. Not only in my job as president of the company but personally too, myself and our staff who are the lifeblood of our operation unequivocally condemn these statements. I would like to personally apologize to everyone negatively impacted by this individuals harmful words. We are proud
allies of the LGBTQ community and it is built into our ethos to not only have a fun and relaxing atmosphere to enjoy at our business but more importantly, a safe environment for all.
We will work even harder to be active supporters and contributing members of our wonderful melting pot of our island community.
