Wow! What an incredible opportunity these kids had this week. It all started Thursday when they played their first U12 game in Fergus against their friend team from Niagara Falls. Of the 46 teams, we got to start our week with the one team we play on a regular basis for fun. Then two games on Friday at the Guelph Curling Club. Then 1 game Saturday - a must win to continue on. They did just that and made it to the Semi Finals! Sunday they played a team from Kitchener and clawed their way back to tie the game. Ended up losing by 1 point to finish our run in this tournament.
All I can say is that we are extremely proud of these 11 year olds for having fun, playing hard, and just being great friends. Lots of great memories and already looking forward to next year.

The Men’s Banana Belt was one for the books! 🍌🥌

Congratulations to our champions on an incredible weekend of competition — well played from start to finish! In the 1st event, the Patrick Morris team from Toronto came out on top over the Darrick Kizlyk team from Denver, Colorado. The other champions include Paul Faris from Welland (1st Event Consolation), Todd Brandwood from Hamilton (2nd Event), Joe DiMarco from Welland (3rd Event), and Jeff Glover from Niagara Falls (4th Event).

A huge thank you to all of the teams who joined us and made the event such a success. And of course, we’re so grateful to our generous sponsors for their continued support — we couldn’t do it without you!

That's a wrap on the OUA Championship! From the first draw to the final stone, the ice was filled with great shot-making, sportsmanship, and school spirit.

Congratulations to all of the athletes who competed and represented their schools with pride. A special shoutout to the women's champions, the University of Guelph, and the men's champions, Wilfrid Laurier University.

Thank you to our volunteers, officials, and ice crew who helped make the event run smoothly, and to everyone who came out to watch and support university curling. We loved having the energy and excitement in the club all weekend.

This weekend these wonderful kids played in two different bonspiels. First bonspiel was in Grimsby where they placed 2nd as team Great Britain. We had a second Welland team place 4th as team Japan.
Second bonspiel was in Oakville where they placed 1st! We are so proud of all of them.
