Tonight we had a wrap up the season get together at Chippawa Park. We had a Player versus Parents/Siblings/Coaches wiffle ball game and a pizza party. Some good laughs were had as the Parents/Siblings/Coaches team won by a score 913 to 2!

I as a coach would like to thank all the players, parents, siblings and other family members for all the support this season. We came a long way this season and proud of everyone for their efforts.

PLAYOFFS Game 3

15U Weland Green Jr Jackfish got on the board in the first inning. Tyler singled on an 0-2 count, which helped U15 Navy Junior Jackfish tie the game at one in the bottom of the second. In the top of the third, 15U Weland Green Jr Jackfish broke up the tie when a single scored one run. Then a single extended the lead to 4-1. 15U Weland Green Jr Jackfish scored five runs on two hits in the top of the fourth inning.

Jamison opened the game for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. They gave up four hits and four runs over two and one-third innings, striking out four and walking three.

Gavin, Tyler, Jacob, and Blake each collected one hit for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. Tyler and Blake were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. Gavin, Jacob, Jamison, Matteo, and Blake each stole multiple bases for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish stole 14 bases in the game

U15 Navy Junior Jackfish had trouble keeping up with 15U Weland Green Jr Jackfish in a 12-3 loss on Wednesday.

PLAYOFFS Game 2

Tonight our Jackfish were back in in Beamsville for the second game of the round robin playoffs against the Beamsville Stingers. 15U Beamsville 1 got on the board in the first inning. 15U Beamsville 1 added one run in the second. 15U Beamsville 1 added one run in the third making the score 3-1. The 4th inning saw 15U Beamsville 1 score five runs on four hits in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Jamison started on the bump for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and three runs over three innings, striking out six and walking four.

Nathan, Matteo, Josh, and Shira each collected one hit for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. Gavin stole four bases. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish ran wild on the base paths, piling up six stolen bases for the game.

U15 Navy Junior Jackfish couldn't keep up with 15U Beamsville 1 and fell 10-1 on Thursday.

PLAYOFFS Game 1

Tonight our Jackfish open the second season known as playoffs in Beamsville against the Pelham Purple team. Pelham won the coin toss and chose to be the home team. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Nathan doubled, scoring two runs, Derek drew a walk, scoring one run, a steal of home scored one run, and a steal of home scored one run.

A single by Nick, and a walk by Nathan helped U15 Navy Junior Jackfish extend their early lead in the second.

U15 Navy Junior Jackfish added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Jamison walked, and Jamison stole home, each scoring one run.

Nick earned the win for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. They gave up four hits and four runs over three innings, striking out five and walking three.

Nick and Nathan each collected two hits for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. Nathan provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led U15 Navy Junior Jackfish with three runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-2 on the day. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish had a strong eye at the plate, collecting 14 walks for the game. Jacob and Jamison led the team with three free passes each. Nick, Tyler, Derek, Nathan, Jacob, Jamison, Matteo, and Josh each stole multiple bases for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish stole 35 bases in the game.

U15 Navy Junior Jackfish easily dispatched 15U Pelham PURPLE on Thursday, 13-4.

Tonight our Jackfish were at home to host the Thorold Athletics to wrap up the regular season. Despite trailing by as many as four runs, U15 Navy Junior Jackfish rallied to defeat 15U Thorold 8-6 on Monday.

15U Thorold jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning. 15U Thorold added one run in the second. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on one hit to take a 7-5 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a steal of home by Nathan that drove in two. A ground out by Blake extended the U15 Navy Junior Jackfish lead to 8-5 in the bottom of the third inning.

Jamison began the game for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and five runs over three innings, striking out seven and walking four. Jacob appeared in relief for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish.

Nick, Jacob, and Nathan each collected one hit for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. Nick, Nathan, and Blake each drove in one run for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish had patience at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Josh and Josh AP led the team with two walks each. Nick, Derek, Jacob, Nathan, Blake, Jamison, Josh, and Josh AP each stole multiple bases for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish stole 21 bases in the game.

Our Jackfish were on the road Thorold tonight for the first time this year to take on the Thorold Athletics. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish got on the board in the first inning after Derek singled, scoring one run. 15U Thorold captured the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the first. 15U Thorold added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning. 15U Thorold scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the third inning. 15U Thorold scored five runs on one hit in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Nick started the game for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. The starting pitcher surrendered seven hits and six runs over two innings, striking out six and walking one.

Derek went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead U15 Navy Junior Jackfish in hits. Josh AP led the team with two runs batted in. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Matteo and Josh led the team with two bases on balls each. Nick, Tyler, Derek, Matteo, and Josh each stole multiple bases for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish stole 13 bases in total for the game.

Final score was a 16-4 loss for our Fish. We played well in the last but some days the ball just does not bounce your way. It seemed like every ball we hit was at their players and every ball they hit was not at ours.

Tonight our Fish were home at Burgar Park to take on the Fort Erie Athletics. 15u Fort Erie1 were the first to get on the board in the first.
U15 Navy Junior Jackfish captured the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the first and never looked back after Jacob doubled, Derek grounded out, and Matteo singled, each scoring one run. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish scored five runs on four hits in the bottom of the second inning. Nathan grounded out, scoring one run, Matteo singled, scoring two runs, and Josh singled, scoring two runs. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Shira grounded out, Nick singled, and Nick stole home, each scoring one run.

Nick started on the bump for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. They gave up seven hits and five runs over three innings, striking out three and walking three. Jamison appeared in relief for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish.

Matteo drove the middle of the lineup, leading U15 Navy Junior Jackfish with three runs batted in. The first baseman went 2-for-3 on the day. Nick, Jacob, and Matteo each collected two hits for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish had a strong eye at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game. Tonight our Jackfish were on the road in Pelham to take on the Pelham Purple team. Both U15 Navy Junior Jackfish and 15U Pelham PURPLE had their offenses going on Tuesday, but U15 Navy Junior Jackfish eventually prevailed 17-11. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish collected eight hits, while 15U Pelham PURPLE had 13.

U15 Navy Junior Jackfish jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after a dropped third strike scored one run, Gavin singled, scoring one run, Jamison drew a walk, scoring one run, and a steal of home scored one run.

U15 Navy Junior Jackfish scored five runs on one hit in the top of the second inning. Jacob singled, scoring two runs, Nathan drew a walk, scoring one run, Derek drew a walk, scoring one run, and a steal of home scored one run.

U15 Navy Junior Jackfish added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Josh singled, and Jamison stole home, each scoring one run.

15U Pelham PURPLE scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the third inning.

U15 Navy Junior Jackfish scored five runs on three hits in the top of the fourth inning. Nathan grounded out, scoring one run, Matteo singled, scoring one run, Jamison singled, scoring one run, and a steal of home scored two runs.

Our Jackfish were home to take on the Welland Green team. After a ton of rain the last few days including some earlier today it was nice to get the game in on a cool evening. The temperature was cool and so were our bats tonight. 15U Weland Green Jr Jackfish opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. 15U Weland Green Jr Jackfish added to their early lead in the top of the second inning. 15U Weland Green Jr Jackfish extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the third.

Jamison stepped on the bump first for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and seven runs over two innings, striking out four and walking seven. Jacob pitched three innings in relief for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish. The reliever surrendered five hits and five runs while, striking out eight and walking six.

Gavin led U15 Navy Junior Jackfish with two hits in three at bats. Nick, Gavin, Nathan, Jacob, Jamison, Derek, Josh, and Braden Ap each stole multiple bases for U15 Navy Junior Jackfish.

Our Jackfish were home tonight to take on the Welland Red team. U15 Welland Red got on the board in the top of the first inning. In the bottom of the first inning, U15 Navy Junior Jackfish went back into the lead after Nathan singled, Derek singled, and Derek stole home, each scoring one run. The U15 Welland Red tied the game at three in the top of the second. A single by Derek gave U15 Navy Junior Jackfish the lead, 5-3, in the bottom of the second. U15 Welland Red took the lead, 8-5, in the top of the third thanks to 3 straight singles. U15 Navy Junior Jackfish flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring five runs on three hits to take a 10-8 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Derek that drove in two. U15 Welland Red captured the lead, 11-10, in the top of the fourth. Tyler singled, which helped U15 Navy Junior Jackfish tie the game at 11 in the bottom of the fourth. Our Fish held the Red team scoreless in the top of the fifth. Our Fish loaded the bases and scored the winning run on a pass ball as U15 Navy Junior Jackfish defeated U15 Welland Red 12-11 on Sunday.
