The SNRC family has been incredibly fortunate to have Victoria Collins as a core member of our coaching staff. Her passion for the sport, dedication to her athletes, and genuine care for the people she coaches are truly second to none.

For the past number of years, Victoria has been the heart and soul of our U15 Bantam and Junior Competitive programs. She not only has helped athletes develop their rowing skills, but also has helped shape them into incredible people.

We wish her nothing but the very best as she heads east to teacher’s college. We can think of no better professional path for her, and we sincerely hope she’ll be able to pursue her teaching career in Niagara (she promised😜!!) and continue inspiring athletes, young and old, for years to come. 🤞

Victoria, thank you for showing so many athletes how to remain competitive while still finding joy in this wonderful sport. And thank you for embodying what it truly means to be a Stinger every single day you came to SNRC. Your impact on our athletes and our club will last far beyond the time you spent on the water with us.

A pocketful of sunshine ☀️ with a side of…. 🌪️

As our Fall season is officially underway, we’re looking back at one very eventful end to the summer season… Henley Week!

Henley kicked off with Henley Masters on August 2nd, but only a few crews got the chance to race before the regatta was cancelled due to some slightly-rougher-than-usual weather conditions (swipe through for a little glimpse)🌪️⛈️💨

Fortunately, no tornadoes were on the radar during Youth Henley, and all of our Junior Competitive crews were able to race and show off all the hard work they put in throughout the season! So a big congratulations to all our athletes who raced (and almost raced!) at Henley 2026!

Also a big thank you to all of our summer coaches who guided our athletes through every practice and regatta, and made sure our crews, boats, and what was left of our regatta tents made it home safely!💛

Fingers crossed for a little more sunshine and a lot less inclement weather this Fall.☀️

WOW what a turn out for our First Strokes Opening Ceremony today!! Lots of smiling and excited faces, we can already sense it is going to be a blast with this group…….go Stingers! 💛🐝🖤

The lyrics unfortunately summed up July.. 🔥😔

But despite the smoky skies and some more adverse weather conditions, the Stingers still had a busy month at SNRC!💪

July brought some incredible racing from our Masters and Junior athletes, our first week of Summer Camp, and plenty of strides made from our Rowing Development group! 🚣‍♂️

So here’s to clearer skies, quality strokes, and an exciting August. Also, best of luck to our SNRC Master Stingers kicking off Henley week tomorrow, with our juniors to follow starting on Tuesday! We’ll be cheering you on from the side lines!
