Thank you Marshall Ward
I came across this article written May 14, 2014 by Marshall Ward. Marshall’s partner and kids were members at Grand River Karate and he was also a talented columnist who went on to cohost called Bonn Park where he interviewed (me) Fortunato Restagno. Unfortunately we lost Marshall back in 2023. He was a big fan of our dojo and was a wonderful, articulate and witty individual. RIP

He also said that Chibana had a way of blocking that unbalanced the attacker immediately upon contact if the attacker was strong. Of course anyone who punched Iha experienced this same sensation.
