Blues & Balboa Stew is an amazing workshop weekend we are hosting at HepcatSwing. It features Dan Repsch an internationally renowned instructor & DJ from Montreal.

There will be 10+ Hours of Lessons and 3 social dances (including live band KW Kool Big Band). Sept 25-27, 2026.

The Early Bird Price ($140 Members/Student & $150 General) is extended to Thursday Sept 3rd at midnight. Saving you $30.

We are back for our final Dance It Off Tuesday on Aug 25th. We will follow-up with another Welcome Wednesday on Aug 26th.

Dance It Off Tuesday (DIOT) will take place in Uptown Waterloo Public Square from 7-10pm. It will feature live music with the KW Kool Big Band and dance lessons from HepcatSwing. FREE!!!

Welcome Wednesday will happen in the HepcatSwing Studio (42 Erb St E, Waterloo) from 8-9pm. It is an opportunity for new dancers from the greater KW community (like those from DIOT) to try swing dancing with us. Just $10!!!

We look forward to seeing fresh and familiar faces this week.

Let's finish summer with a BANG!!! Not 1 but 2 LIVE BAND DANCES. We are bringing the Wyndham Gardens Band (thanks Tobias & Guelph swing scene) & Free Ride (back by popular demand) to the HepcatSwing studio.

Great time at the BarnYard Bash on Saturday. We had KW ( ), Hamilton ( ) and London ( .on) all attending. Thanks to Jeff Stagger for hosting, Tara for organizing, Sarah and Jeff Benoit helped set-up. Extra thanks to everyone who attended this unique event.

It’s almost time to say goodbye (and THANK YOU) to our wonderful Executive Director, Arnav Cheema. Arnav has brought so much to our organization - a warm and welcoming presence, top-notch social media/ marketing skills, and a level of professionalism well beyond his years! We wish him all good things as he goes on to pursue a full-time career in Marketing and PR. 🥳

It was an incredibly difficult process for the Board to decide on a new ED, as we were lucky enough to have several really skilled and unique candidates… and of course Arnav has left some big shoes to fill! But after much debate, we would like to welcome a familiar face into the role, to use his own set of skills and talents to continue the momentum Arnav has given us… Jeff Benoit! 👏👏👏 We’re excited to see how Jeff will make the role his own, and help Hepcats grow and thrive. 😁
