In 2021, I had been lifting solely for hypertrophy for 6 years. Between now and then I have strength trained as a muay thai and boxing athlete as well as for hypertrophy.
This is an update of 5 years of natural progress doing what I would categorize as “hybrid training”. A hybrid of increasing combat sport-specific athletic performance while optimizing for aesthetics. As an athlete, I’ve put a lot of miles on my body, but my physical priorities have changed as I’ve gotten older and more experienced. Now I prioritize the longevity of my performance through mobility-oriented resistance training, intense aerobic and anaerobic conditioning, and explosive power while continuing consistent muscle growth.
Proud of the progress in the last 5 years and grateful for all of the lessons it has taught me to impart upon my clients!
