The wait is over. The skates are sharpened, the jerseys are washed, and the rink is coming alive again!
Every Laker has either hit the ice after a long day at school this week, or are anxiously awaiting their very first skate this weekend......and you can feel it!
THE EXCITEMENT IS HERE!
For some, it’s a FIRST STRIDE.
For some, a FIRST GOAL.
For some, a FIRST WIN.
For others, it’s another season of memories, friendships, teammates, battles, celebrations, and everything in between.
From our newest little Lakers taking those first steps onto the ice, to our returning players ready to take on another season,
THIS IS YOUR LAKERS COMMUNITY.
And behind every player is a community that makes it all possible.
To our COACHES, MANAGERS, and ON ICE HELP: thank you for leading, teaching, encouraging, challenging, and believing in our players.
To our VOLUNTEERS: thank you for giving your time, energy, and countless hours to make hockey happen in Wallaceburg.
To our FANS, FAMILIES & SUPPORTERS: thank you for filling the stands, cheering loud, celebrating the wins, supporting through the tough games, and making the rink feel like home.
To our SPONSORS: thank you for believing in our players and allowing us to proudly wear your logo while playing the sport we love. Your support is what helps us keep hockey accessible to our families, and we absolutely could not do it with out your support.
To the STAFF AT THE WALLACEBURG MEMORIAL ARENA AND THE WALPOLE ISLAND SPORTS COMPLEX: thank you for the countless hours you dedicated to ensuring the arenas were clean, prepared and the ice was ready for us to make our way through the doors this week. Both arenas look amazing, and our players are so lucky to have these great facilities to train and compete in.
Most importantly, let’s make Season 76 a season where we are proud of HOW we play and HOW we treat one another.
