A special thank you to the WAMBO committee for the generous donation of tables and chairs for our year end banquet at the Sydenham Community Curling Club last night. We brought in over 400 guests to honour and celebrate our teams. This would not have been possible without this support.

A shout out to the set up and tear down volunteers who helped to transport, load and unload tables and chairs so that this event could happen. Many hands made lighter work and we could not have done it without you!

Community is such a big part of minor sports, and we are so grateful to have this support!

Last night at the WMLA Year End Banquet, Ellen and Eric presented the association with a donation of $40,000 on behalf of the Matt Cousins Memorial Golf Tournament . The hard work, dedication and commitment to supporting lacrosse in our local community in honour of Matt, is something that we do not take for granted, and continue to be extremely appreciative of. The Cousins family work tirelessly to ensure our players have access to strong, competitive programming and resources in their home town. Their support has a last impact on minor lacrosse.

Not only did you pour into the tournament to ensure this was possible, but you gave back to WMLA through volunteering as coaching staff and supporting set up and clean up for our banquet. Your support is admirable and greatly appreciated.

WE NEED YOUR HELP, GRIFFINS FAMILY!

The banquet is almost here, and we’re looking for our AMAZING Griffins community to lend a hand! A successful banquet takes a village, and it runs SO much smoother when we have lots of hands on deck!

We need volunteers for:
SET-UP- help us get everything ready to celebrate our teams!
DURING THE BANQUET- just a little bit of help here and there (you’ll STILL have plenty of time to enjoy your meal and the celebration!)
TEAR-DOWN- lots of hands make quick work of getting everything cleaned up and packed away!

HIGHSCHOOL STUDENTS! This is a GREAT opportunity to earn volunteer hours while helping out your lacrosse community! Any students who attend in the afternoon can have volunteer hours sign off on! Bring your forms with you!

We are SO fortunate to have one of the best communities around, and this is our chance to show that Griffins teamwork doesn’t stop when the final whistle blows!

ATTENTION COACHES/MANAGERS/JERSEY PARENTS:

There will be an equipment drop off this Monday evening at the Kinsmen Gym from 6-8 PM. Pictures will also be available for pick up at this time. Please ensure you return all borrowed items by this date.

This includes:
- jerseys
- trainer kits
- training aids/balls
- goalie gear
- any additional borrowed items

Thank you for your timely returns so we can ensure we are all set up for next season!

🥉 Congratulations, Taliin!

A huge congratulations to Taliin Williams and the U15 Team First Nations on an incredible Bronze Medal finish at the National Lacrosse Championship in Halifax! Your hard work, dedication, teamwork and determination truly showed throughout the championship and was recognized when being rewarded MVP!
