As the season wraps up, Team Mailloux would like to share that we will be going our separate ways for the upcoming season.

We’d like to wish Charles Snider all the best as he continues in U18 for his final eligible year.

We also want to wish Braeden Hein, Carter Furgeson, Hugo Chow, and Rhett Mailloux the best of luck in their future endeavors, both on and off the ice.

Team Mailloux just wrangled up PERFECTION at the Wainwright Curling Club with an 8️⃣-ENDER! 🥌🔥

Skip Rhett Mailloux, Third Sydney Mailloux, Second Amy Ferron, and Lead Eli Hildebrand corralled all 8 stones like a pack of wild broncos and nailed one of curling’s rarest feats! 🐎💥

🥌That’s a wrap on provincials for Team Mailloux!🥌

Our run came to an end on Saturday morning—not the outcome we had hoped for, but we had an absolute blast competing against some of the best junior teams in Alberta.

A huge congratulations to Team Davies and Team Hlushak, who will represent Alberta on the men’s side at nationals in Summerside, PEI, as well as Team Richards, who will represent AB2 on the women’s side.

A special shoutout to our friends and Sherwood Park Curling Club buddies on Team Plett, who will be wearing the Alberta jackets and representing AB1 at nationals—best of luck, guys!

A massive thank you to the Hec Gervais Scholarship and Curling Foundation for their support of this event and junior curling in Alberta.

To Nancy and the team at the Red Deer Curling Centre, we appreciate all the effort you put into making this event possible, and to the icemakers, thank you for the long hours making sure we had great ice to compete on.

Thank you to Justice Jacques, Raymond Vanstone, and the entire Curling Alberta team for all your hard work and dedication in organizing this event and providing us juniors with amazing opportunities.

And finally, thank you to everyone who supported us, whether in person or tuning in on the broadcast—we felt the love all week!

We’re headed to Red Deer this week to compete in U20 Provincials, starting Wednesday at the Red Deer Curling Centre!

We’re excited for the opportunity to play against the top teams in Alberta, with a chance to represent the province at the Canadian Junior Championships in Summerside, PEI.

Games on Sheets C & D will be live-streamed on Curling Alberta’s YouTube channel throughout the week. Our matchups on Wednesday at 1:45 PM vs. Macdonald and Thursday at 5:00 PM vs. Duncan will be on the livestream sheets and will have bonus commentary, so be sure to tune in!

If you want to watch in person, tickets are available at the door for $10 per draw or $40 for the full event.
