FROM THE WOLFPACK TO FOUR-TIME NATIONAL CHAMPION 🥍🐺🏆

We couldn’t be more proud to celebrate our very own Layla Jaber!!!

Layla’s lacrosse journey began right here in Wainwright, picking up a stick at just four years old! From those early days with the Wainwright Wolfpack, it didn’t take long to see that there was something extra special about her. She competed fearlessly, played against boys right through U17, battled for every ball, and consistently found a way to lead.

This week, Layla captured her FOURTH, yes you read that correctly, FOURTH - consecutive U22 Female National Lacrosse Championship with Team Alberta. An accomplishment only three athletes have ever achieved!

Four national championships. League scoring titles. Junior success. And now, the possibility of one day wearing the maple leaf loud and proud. 🇨🇦

But as her Dad so beautifully shared today:

“It’s not the championships or statistics that make Layla special. It’s who she is! Her humility. Her compassion. Her work ethic. Her fearlessness. The way she brings people together. The way she earns the respect of teammates and opponents. And the way she continues to give back to the sport that has given her so much. For us, there’s an extra reason to celebrate.”

Layla started her journey as a Wainwright Wolfpack. 🐺

We had the privilege of watching that little four-year-old pick up a lacrosse stick and begin a journey that would take her all the way to the national stage. To see the player, leader and role model she has become is something everyone can be incredibly proud of.”

Layla, you may now be a four-time national champion, but you’ll always be a Wolfpup.

Congratulations on an incredible accomplishment. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes you next — and perhaps one day, we’ll see you back behind the bench inspiring the next generation of Wolfpack players. 😉

🏆❤️🖤 WOLFPACK PROUD! 🖤❤️🏆

A huge congratulations to our very own #22, Evander Charters! 🥍🐺

With the Wainwright Wolfpack not icing a U15 team this season, Evander joined the Vermilion Roar, where he worked hard all year and helped his team earn an incredible U15 Provincial Championship this weekend in Medicine Hat! 🥇

While he wore Roar colours this season, he’ll always be a part of the Wolfpack family, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything he has accomplished.

Congratulations to Evander, his teammates, coaches, and the entire Vermilion Roar organization on an outstanding season and a well-deserved provincial gold medal!

Way to represent your hometown with pride and show what hard work, dedication, and teamwork can achieve.

☀️🐺 School’s out, the sun is shining, and it’s time to enjoy everything summer has to offer!

From all of us at the Wainwright Wolfpack, we hope you have an amazing, safe, and unforgettable summer filled with sunshine, lake days, camping trips, family adventures, and plenty of laughs.

While the season may be over, your lacrosse journey doesn’t have to stop. 🥍

Keep a stick in your hands. Throw the ball with a friend, your siblings, your parents, or even against a wall. Every pass, every catch, and every shot helps build the skills that will make you even stronger when we hit the floor next spring.

Most importantly, have fun! Make memories, stay active, and enjoy every minute of your summer.

We’ll see you back on the floor before you know it—better, stronger, and ready for another amazing season!

That’s a wrap on another incredible Wolfpack season! ❤️🐺🥍

As the final buzzer sounds, we want to say THANK YOU to everyone who made this season one to remember.

To our players—thank you for your hard work, determination, and heart. You represented the Wolfpack with pride every time you stepped on the floor, and watching your growth throughout the season has been something special.

To our coaches and volunteers—thank you for the countless hours, dedication, patience, and passion you pour into this program. None of this happens without you!!!

And to our families and fans… thank you for filling the stands, making the road trips, cheering until you’re hoarse, and standing behind our teams every step of the way. Your support creates an atmosphere our players will never forget. You truly are the heartbeat of the Wolfpack.

Win or lose, this season was about more than the scoreboard. It was about friendships, teamwork, perseverance, and building a community that our athletes are proud to be a part of.

We’ll take what we learned, keep working, and come back next spring stronger, hungrier, and better than ever.

What do you get when you cross a Wolf with a Buffalo??? A WOOFALO!!!

2 of our U11’s teamed up with
Wood Buffalo Bison Female Lacrosse and they had the absolute best time at Ignite the Net. Zofia showed all the girls who’s boss on the floor keeping everyone out of the house and even had some incredible shooting opportunities! Lainey girl took today’s POG as she found the back of the net and after winning the Skills Competition “trick shot” event has a cup full of goodies!

Our U13 Olivia, she paired up with Lakeland Fire Lacrosse and the Lloydminster Border Beauts and absolutely dominated the floor against some super tough competition and naturally killed it!

Congrats to all 3 of our girls - thank you for representing the Wainwright Wolfpack - you made us so darn proud. Great work ladies.

Best of luck to our girls this weekend at Ignite the Net in Cold Lake, AB. Lainey and Zofia have paired up with Wood Buffalo Bison Female Lacrosse to bring the heat and Olivia is taking the floor by storm with the Lloydminster Border BEAUTS. Have the best time, the best dance parties and rock that neon! Thanks for representing the Wolfpack ladies, you sure do make us proud. 🐺🦬🐾
