Buckle up! Kids learn (and grow) fast!! At 16 months your little MVP will be learning the fundamentals of physical literacy, which will quickly progress into real sports skills. They’ll continue to develop their social, behavioural & motor skills through method backed programming by coming back season after season 🎉

Wondering when to start your kids in sports?

The best time depends on their age and development.

Ages 1.5-3:
Kids benefit most from fun, active play that helps build foundational movement skills like running, jumping, balancing, and coordination.

Ages 3-5:
This is when kids are ready for a little more independence, with programs focused on skill-building, listening, cooperation, and confidence.

Ages 6-8:
Kids can begin exploring more organized sports where the focus should still be on FUN, learning, and trying new things.

Ages 8-12:
Now they’re ready for more complex skills, teamwork, strategy, and game play.

No matter the age, the goal should always be the same:
Help kids build confidence and fall in love with movement 💙

Our first-ever Sportball classes on Vancouver Island are kicking off this July and registration is now open!

Ages 16 months to 9 years
Fun, structured, multi-sport programs designed to build confidence and a love of movement

We’ve been lucky to work with thousands of families in the Okanagan, and we’re so excited to bring Sportball to the Island.

Took my first trip to Victoria as Coach Jesse, program director and owner of & and wow, what a city. 🤩

I spent a few days meeting with The City of Victoria, Victoria West Community Centre, Panorama Recreation, and a whole bunch of locations across Greater Victoria and honestly? I was not prepared for how excited everyone was to have us coming.

Every single person we met was warm, welcoming, and genuinely pumped about bringing Sportball to the Island. The community, the restaurants, the scenery, Victoria, you did not disappoint.

This is some fun behind the scenes of us building Sportball on the Island. The meetings, the facility walkthroughs, the handshakes, the planning, all of it leading up to one thing:

Get to know Sportball & our Program Director, Coach Jesse!

All the sports in one great program! Sportball is a children’s program that emphasizes play-based, non-competitive learning for kids 16 months to 9 years old.

We introduce sports in engaging ways to keep your child involved while also building their confidence, motor skills, and teamwork.

Kids play a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, baseball, hockey, volleyball, tennis, golf, rugby, lacrosse and football.
