WE STILL NEED MORE HELP!

We are days away from the 2026 Langford Bikefest presented by Westhills on March 13-15 in Langford, and we are still short on volunteers in a few areas. We could really use your help and are looking for people to take on small shifts so that we don't place too much of a time burden on you.

If you volunteer, we will also waive your entry fee if you are interested in racing any of the MTB Races. If you have already registered, we will refund your entry in exchange for your help.

(You can pick any day and choose a shift that works for you)

CALL FOR HELP

Hey everyone. My dad suffered a stroke a couple of days ago and is recovering in hospital. He is doing well, but as with any stroke victim, there may be ongoing complications and potential adverse effects to ongoing health issues and quality of life.

As with any major health event of a loved one, my family's priorities have shifted to supporting him and to ensure that he has the best quality of care, especially once he is discharged from Hospital.

With that said, I am faced with the reality that I may need some significant help with a major cycling project that is coming up.

On March 12-15, I am tasked with organizing the Langford Bikefest which will feature the Canada Cup Langford XC races as well as Island Cup - Vancouver Island Mountain Bike Race Series. I need help with a wide range of areas and could use some key people to help coordinate: Race Course Setup / Teardown, Course Marshals, Registration Office.

Please help us find and retrieve Cycling BC’s event equipment trailer, which was stolen at the Jordie Lunn Bike Park recently. We had some of our own event equipment stored in that trailer and would appreciate any effort to locate and retrieve. Please contact Westshore RCMP if you have any leads or sightings.

Recognize the person 2nd from the right? Who would have thought that this 18 year old cross country mountain biker racing at the 2019 UCI Bear Mountain Canada Cup in Langford would one day become World Road Cycling Champion. What a story about Magdeleine Vallieres!
