Brianne (Daughter - current Vike) and Angela (Mom - Alumni) both played against each other in the Alumni game this past Saturday (April 18, 2026). The Alumni won, however there may have been a few more Alumni players on the field......😊⚽️

Greetings to you!

I wanted to let you know that the Special Olympics Tribute Memorial Tournament in Mia’s name (The Gucci Games) was such a success that the organizing committee is running the tournament for a second consecutive year. This year’s tournament will be held in Edmonton at Foote Field at the University of Alberta on Saturday March 1, 2025 between 12:30-3:30 p.m.

Our Vikes team are looking to participate once again in the Gucci Games Mia Gunter Memorial Cup. Playing alongside members of the Special Olympics team was a memorable experience for our team, which of course, Mia knew when she brought us altogether! The trip will cost $20,000 to attend and we are raising money on Vikes Giving Day! Every little bit counts, and I have attached the Giving Day Link (below). Once we reach $5,000, an anonymous donor will unlock an additional $5,000.

The Vikes Giving Day website is currently live, so you don’t have to wait until Wednesday, Feb 5 to give.

Save the date, Saturday, March 11th for a fun-filled Alumni Event including soccer games at Centennial Stadium followed by a dinner and social event at a local eatery! This will be a wonderful opportunity to catch up with your former teammates and friends. More details will follow once they are finalized. Hope to see you there! ⚽️🍺

Vikes Women's Soccer is hosting a "Meet and Greet" this Saturday, September 3rd at Goward House (2495 Arbutus Road) from 6:00 pm - 10:30 pm! The team would love to see the Vikes alumni come out and support this fun event.

This year’s event will feature a silent auction which is both online and in-person! If you are unable to attend the event, you can still participate in the auction. The link for the HiBid website is:

There will also be raffles, cake walks, player auctions, lottery board and everyone’s favorite--the toonie toss!
