Let the kids play, grab some food, shop, listen to music and cheer on the Outway Open tournament pickleball players!

What to Expect Each Day:
🎈Friday, August 28 (2:00 PM – 9:30 PM)
The Outway Open opens the festival with Women's Doubles and Men's Singles, followed by feature matches in the evening. The community is invited to grab a paddle and join Open Play (by donation) starting at 6:00 PM, with DJ Randy and DJ Sport Mode on the music keeping the energy high and a variety of food trucks serving throughout the day.
🎈Saturday, August 29 (8:00 AM – 9:30 PM)
Competition continues with Mixed Doubles and Women's Singles, while the festival expands with live stage entertainment, a local vendor marketplace, and an incredible selection of food and beverage vendors. Live music from Demographix keeps the festival grounds buzzing from 4:30 to 7:30 PM. The evening features a FREE Youth Pickleball Tournament from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, powered by the Victoria SEED Foundation, welcoming children 16 and under of all skill levels to experience the sport in a fun and supportive environment.
🎈Sunday, August 30 (8:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Championship matches continue with Men's Doubles and Women's Singles as the festival celebrates Family Day. The Kids Zone is the highlight for families, featuring a 40-foot obstacle course from Happy Hoppers, plus a full activity area by Lila's Events with face painting, a temporary tattoo station, giant games (Jumbo Jenga, corn hole, ring toss, and giant Tetris), an arts and crafts station, and bubbles with family-friendly music. Add in live entertainment, vendors, delicious food, and non-stop pickleball action, and it is a perfect day out for all ages.
The Victoria Pickleball Festival is free to attend and welcomes everyone, whether you are competing, cheering on athletes, shopping local vendors, enjoying great food, listening to live music, or introducing your family to the exciting world of pickleball.

Mixed Doubles & Women's Singles, live stage performances, vendor market, food & beverage trucks, plus our FREE Youth Tournament powered by the Victoria SEED Foundation.

Sunday, Aug. 30
Men's Doubles & Women's Singles continue alongside the festival, with an expanded Kids Zone for the whole family.

Paddles Up!!
I coach a group of beginner pickleball players every Friday evening from 7–9 p.m. at the Quadra Community Centre gym. We have two courts booked Friday, November 7 - Friday, December 19th - only 6 players registered so far — which means there’s room for a few more!
Come join us and give pickleball a try! 🏓😊

Not much to report from the courts today 😞 No nets. The city is working hard on the path to the courts but it looks like it might still be awhile…

TOPAZ UPDATE: 1. The fence is scheduled for completion by next Friday. 2. The final coat of paint is anticipated to be applied tomorrow, pending crew arrival, followed by a 1-week curing period. 3. Landscaping around the playground requires significant work, but the area may be fenced off to facilitate the opening of the courts. 4. Net timeline unknown. Note: A perimeter fence will be installed, with no fence separating the courts.
