Join Faro Sailing and South Island SUP for a 2-day, 1-night sailing and paddleboarding adventure in the Southern Gulf Islands. Over the weekend, you’ll split your time between hands-on sailing aboard Silver Sea Star, a 37-foot sailboat, and guided SUP adventures along the coastline of Pender Island. Expect clear waters, sandstone shorelines, hidden beaches, marine wildlife, and a relaxed small-group atmosphere. No prior sailing or paddleboarding experience is required — just a sense of adventure and a willingness to learn, explore, and have fun on the water.
What’s included

1 night accommodation at OrcaView Lodge on Pender Island
Accommodations either 1 QS bed in separate private bedroom for couples or a Double bed in a shared bedroom
Meals from Day 1 lunch to Day 2 lunch: 1 breakfast, 2 lunches, and 1 dinner
Guided sailing aboard Silver Sea Star
Hands-on sailing instruction, including crew training, wind, weather, currents, safety, and life aboard
Guided SUP adventures around Pender Island

Yesterday was a whale of a day! Great to be out there! 17 km next level paddling. 4 hours of never ending excitement. Thanks Gina Lemieux and Vibes Fitness Oak Bay for the fun day! And thanks to Gina for being a whale whisperer! FYI the whale visited us. We were drifting in the current phone in hand on 5X optical zoom and further zoom in during editing. Great to be the only ones out there during our whale encounter (the whale visited after all the whale watching boats left the area). If you are out there in a powerboat pleasing travel at low speed. A great day on the water to celebrate 70 times around the sun. Looking forward to the next 50 🙂 Thanks Gina and Elliot for making it a special day. Even a humpback joined us. Probably smelled the birthday cupcakes. Thanks Gina for being a whale whisperer and spotting a humpback at our lunch table on the sea. A great day exploring small islands, visiting seals and fresh baked muffins from with coffee and tea on the water. Stunning views in every direction. And just us and 20-30 seals enjoying the ocean front coffee shop. Even a few sea lions to make even more fun.
