Congratulations to our guy & Elite Coach Juan Navarro on signing his first professional contract in Mexico suiting up for Escuderos de Jalisco. Juan has been with us for since day one at The Grind leading our elite teams and setting the greatest example of excellence every step of the way!

We couldn’t be more proud of Huncho Nitto! Best of luck this season. We’ll be tuned in!

Mount Royal Men's Basketball is excited to announce our first signing in the 2026 recruiting class Jackson Lenarcic (Jackson Lenarcic)

The 6’6” guard joins our program out of Brentwood College in Mill Bay, BC. Jackson has led Brentwood College to the AA BC Boys Basketball provincial championship tournament in back to back seasons and has emerged as one of the top High School prospects in the province. Along his journey Jackson has picked up numerous accolades including: Claremont Sr. Boys Basketball tournament MVP, Countdown to Playoffs tournament MVP, North Island Zone Championship MVP, 24-25 Island Championships tournament All-Star, and was named the MVP of the Island Top 40 camp. As a skilled, versatile wing player, Jackson has proven the ability to impact winning in a variety of ways.

VIU is ecstatic to add an Island-grown talent in Austin. He’s excelled on the court with the 4A Belmont Bulldogs and the 3A Frances Kelsey Breakers, served as team captain in his grade 9 to 11 seasons, and was named an Island second team all-star. He has also developed his skills with The Grind elite youth basketball program and is set to jump to the collegiate ranks to study business administration and be all business on the court.
