Victoria High Dance Department Areas of study include jazz, hip hop, modern, tap, improvisation, contemporary, Musical Theatre and ethnic.

Vic High’s Dance Department provides students with the technical skills, vocabulary, and historical knowledge necessary to gain a clear understanding and appreciation in all areas of dance. This course is taught by a certified teacher of Dance and Drama.

I am now retired from public school teaching however continue to be an active member of our Victoria Dance Community. Over the next 10 months I will be working through personal archives of the my years with Victoria High Dance Department. JOIN US THIS SUMMER at Victoria Academy of Ballet!

Victoria Academy of Ballet is offering 2 distinct programs for talented dancers (ages 12+): Dance Intensive and Professional Dance Intensive.

Both programs include ballet, pointe, contemporary, character, conditioning, pas de deux (for select students in PDI), and men’s work. As a group, students will enjoy various social activities and outings. Programs are taught by VAB’s internationally renowned faculty and some of VAB’s most successful Alumni.

Both programs may be used as an audition for acceptance into the Full-Year Professional Training Program and/or Post- Secondary Bridge Program or can serve as placement in our Open Division Programming.
