🎣 Fishing is AMAZING in Victoria right now! 🎣

The fishing around Victoria, BC just keeps getting better and better! Salmon are starting to spread into their summer spots, and we’ve been seeing some beautiful Chinook/King salmon coming aboard — with many fish over 12 lbs and some up to 24 lbs landed over the past few weeks.

There are only a few weeks left to keep Chinook salmon before the June and July catch-and-release period begins on June 1st, so now is a great time to get out on the water.

Halibut, Lingcod, and Rockfish have also been very good — even on the big tide days. It has been a fantastic mix of action, great fish, and big smiles on deck.

If you’re thinking about booking a trip, my remaining full-day May openings are:

May 11, 12, 16, 18, and 28

I also have a few ½ day and ¾ day afternoon trips still open in May. As of today, the first week of June is fully booked, with a smattering of days still available through the rest of June.

I encourage you to secure your preferred date soon so you don’t miss out on this fantastic fishery.

🌊🎣 The girls put on a fishing clinic this past Saturday! 🎣🌊

Absolutely loaded the boat with a beautiful mixed bag and made it look easy doing it! 💪🔥 From start to finish it was steady action, big smiles, and unforgettable moments out here in Victoria, BC.

What a morning out on the water in Victoria, BC! The conditions were no joke, but the fish didn’t seem to mind one bit. 💪

🎣 Fishing Update – It’s ON right now!

Salmon fishing has been 🔥 the past few weeks! We’ve landed Chinook up to 21 lbs, with steady action and lots of fish in the teens on every trip.

Halibut has been hit and miss (spring conditions), but putting in the time is paying off.

⏳ Important:
You can keep 1 hatchery Chinook per person until the end of May
➡️ After that (June–July) it’s catch & release only

📅 Weekday spots still available in April & May
⚠️ Weekends are almost fully booked

What an amazing Season and now incredible winter Salmon fishing Begins

Well the 2025 Summer fishing season has now been put to bed and it was one of the best in my 13 years doing this here in Victoria BC, The Chinook salmon fishing was literally "Off the Hook" for the entire year all through the winter, spring and summer with only a few slow days on the full moons and a few blustery days we could not get out to where the fish were.

The past two weeks have been very, very good for Salmon, Halibut, Rockfish and Lingcod with most days getting our limits of targeted species. Some very nice salmon around with a lot in the Teens now and a few in the 20's in the hood, Halibut a bit tougher the last few days due to big tides but good tides for the first two weeks of June and a few more good days left in May and a few great tide days in July. Salmon have been taking the new FSK Sandlance Jiggs from Rite Angle Marine over on 864 Pembroke street, Chris will outfit you with everything you need, he is open on Friday/Sat/Sun but be sure to contact him before if you need anything ordered. Also the new Gibbs Outfitter Gold/Green/Glow skinny-g and the Chartreuse /white wee-gee all working great as well for Salmon. LingCod are taking Big swim baits and whole herring and of course the killer for Rockfish is Always the SmartBaits Swimming Jessie on a Gibbs white 3 or 4 oz Jig head.
I have 1 day left, May 26th in may, a 8 days in early June, 15 days in July and 4 days left in August so your time is running out to get booked for this season. This is a Pink year so mid July we will start seeing big numbers of Pinks around that you can keep when we may not be able to keep Chinooks
