I help young women move into adulthood, moms-to-be prep

Monday colour splash!

Ever wonder what happens to the leftover paint from my workshops?

I take it home and paint with it.

It’s how I process the day. I think of each person who was there, the stories they shared, the colours they chose. Every mark carries something of them.

You don’t have to wait for the next workshop to feel what happened in that room: the connection, the honesty, the joy of finally giving yourself permission to just be.

That’s what I hold every third Tuesday in Together Beyond, my monthly virtual gathering, open to all.

I’m certain many of you can relate that Mother’s Day can hold A LOT at once.🌷

A couple of weeks ago, I was so excited to be watching Mel Robbins live in Vancouver after years of following her! I was with my daughter Jasmine, my first born and the same daughter who is moving out in less than two weeks.

FIrst Mother’s Day without my own mom.

Mel talked about TIME being the most valuable thing you have. I already knew that and I think we all do. But knowing something and truly FEELING it are two very different things. Sitting there, between the grief of losing my mom and the pride of watching my daughter step into her next chapter was a moment I will never forget.

I thought about times I spent with my mom and the moments I didn’t always realize I was collecting. So grateful for every bit of time well spent with her and looking over at my daughter grateful to be making memorable moments with her now.

My partner Robert and I are thrilled to have launched The Growth Café as an official Club under CreativeMornings Winnipeg! CreativeMornings is part of a global movement connecting curious, creative people in cities around the world.

The Growth Café is for people who love big ideas around personal development, spiritual insights, inspiring books, powerful podcasts, and real, honest conversation. We’ll be exploring monthly themes while creating a space where we feel heard, supported, and inspired to grow together.

Last night I had the joy of speaking on one of my favourite topics: cultivating strong, meaningful social connections and how to deepen them.

One thing I shared was how, during a vulnerable time in my life, it was through patience, courage, and putting myself out there that I found the mentors who supported me. They helped me move through my journey, stay true to my aspirations, and help me embrace everything and all I was becoming.

If you’re in a time of change or stepping into a new version of yourself like I had been, know and trust that your mentors and support are out there!
