Sanshukan Aikikai

Sanshukan Aikikai Sanshukan is a traditional Aikido dojo, a place of training, self-discovery and martial discipline. We welcome all to practice with us.

Sanshukan Aikikai offers the traditional "Aikikai" style of aikido as created by the Founder, Morihei Ueshiba (O-Sensei). Sanshukan is a member of the British Columbia Aikido Federation and the Canadian Aikido Federation, and is affiliated with the Aikikai Foundation, Aikido World Headquarters (Hombu Dojo) in Tokyo, Japan. At Hombu Dojo, our technical director is Osawa Shihan (7th Dan), who visits

Canada regularly to teach at intensive multi-day seminars. Sanshukan's Chief Instructor is Mike Chin (5th Dan). Chin Sensei offers classes for people at all stages of training; we always welcome beginners! Sanshukan also offers a fun and dynamic kids' class, taught by Deb Nicol (3rd Dan).
