Registration is now open for the 2026 Victoria Beach Yacht Club Sailing Lessons! Whether you're a seasoned sailor or just starting, our programs offer an incredible chance to embrace the beauty and challenge of sailing on Lake Winnipeg.

✨ Optimist CANSail Programming (Ages 8-12):
Join us for 5 weeks of excitement from June 29 - July 31! Our "CANSail Opti" program introduces both beginner and intermediate young sailors to the world of sailing in Optimist dinghies. Sessions are twice weekly, from 9 AM-12 PM or 1 PM-4 PM, focusing on safety, boat handling, and building confidence on the water.

✨ WetFeet Program (Ages 6-8):
We're excited to offer two weeks of our delightful "Wet Feet" program on August 3rd and 10th! This introductory course lets kids learn the basics of sailing in a fun and safe environment.

✨ CANSail Programming for Youth & Adults (Ages 13 & Up):
Explore sailing with our CANSail program from June 29 to July 31. Experience hands-on instruction in Flying Junior dinghies, with sessions from 9 AM-12 PM or 1 PM-4 PM, focusing on interactive, water-based learning.

Tickets are now available for the Sail Manitoba Awards and Fundraiser dinner on Saturday November 15th at the Winnipeg Winter Club. Come celebrate another great year of sailing and the many sailors, instructors, volunteers, and officials that made it possible.
The last day to buy tickets is November 7th.
Doors open at 5:30pm and cocktails begin at 6pm.

What an amazing weekend. We had the Wind up the Walleye Regatta, plus the rent-a-kid program for the races yesturday. We had 7 sail yesterday in great conditions. Check out all the next young talent at the club. What will our skippers do.... BUY more Sailboats.....

That’s a wrap on our last day of sailing — 20kts gusting to 26Kts of wind straight out of the North! ⛵💨

Team Stefan & Crew battled rudder issues while chasing down 2nd place. Team McMac sat this one out (no crew for the heavy air!) but still managed to hold onto 2nd overall. And Rick… well, he managed to lose his crew for the third time this season 🤦‍♂️ — yet still hung on to capture the ORCHID CUP WIN 2025! 🏆

It’s been a fantastic season of sailing from everyone — and we’re not done yet! Our final race, The Walleye, will be held on Sept long weekend. ⛵
