Fitness West is bringing Zumba back and with a double team of 2 amazing ladies :) Sylvie Stevenson and Kim Diggens will be headlining this class every Thursday at 10 am. The class will be a combo of the high intensity, faster dance steps and challenging strength moves that are part of Zumba Fitness; combined with the simpler, lower intensity style of Zumba Gold, this class will be a double whammy
of Latin flavor and all fitness levels. What is Zumba? Zumba was created by Beto Perez in 2001 when he forgot his normal aerobics music for his class and only had some Latin music in his car. He brought it to his class and began to teach his participants how to salsa, mambo and cha cha cha! Zumba is a combination of Latin dance styles like salsa, merengue, reggaeton and cumbia. Meshed together with strength moves, it creates the perfect environment to burn fat and build muscle and get the body you've always wanted and having fun while doing it! Worried you have 2 left feet or have never taken dance in your life or just in your living room? Zumba doesn't require any dance background at all and anyone can learn it! That's what is so great about it, anyone can learn and anyone can do it. The instructors will lead you along and help you get the steps in no time.
