Vernon Yacht Club Founded June 23rd, 1953 The Vernon Yacht Club is the Heart of Boating in the North Okanagan. Find us The Vernon Yacht Club is a Membership run Organization.

Events such as the VYC Annual Boat Show in May are open to the public and VYC members can invite guests to other events throughout the year. For more information on becoming a member, please contact our office.

We’re excited to welcome back the incredible Kelly David Belanger, a talented multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and recording artist, for another great performance!

Our volunteer pitmasters will be slow-roasting tender pork to perfection, while our hardworking kitchen team prepares delicious sides to complete the feast.

🚨 BOATING SAFETY NOTICE – BRADLEY CREEK WILDFIRE 🚨

Vernon Yacht Club members, please be advised that ongoing firefighting operations are taking place on Okanagan Lake.

🚤 Please avoid the northern basin and active firefighting areas.
✈️ Stay well clear of wildfire aircraft and water-skimming operations.
⚠️ If aircraft are operating in your area, please leave the area immediately and give them plenty of room to safely operate.
👮 Follow all directions from BC Wildfire, RCMP, Search & Rescue, and emergency personnel.

Okanagan Lake is not closed in its entirety, but conditions and restrictions may change quickly.

Please help keep our firefighters, emergency crews, and fellow boaters safe. ❤️

Dear Members,

The BC Wildfire Service is actively responding to wildfire activity in our area and has requested that the public stay off the water while firefighting operations are underway.

Water bombers and other aircraft require safe, unobstructed access to the lake. Boating and other water activities can interfere with these emergency operations and creating unnecessary safety risks and delaying firefighting efforts.

We kindly ask all members to remain off the water until the BC Wildfire Service advises that it is safe to resume normal activities.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping emergency crews protect our community.
