What an incredible honour to see Sharon Morrison recognized as a 2025/26 Curl BC Breaking Barriers Award Co-Winner!

Sharon helped build the foundation of wheelchair curling in British Columbia while coaching, mentoring, and developing athletes for decades. Her dedication has helped pave the way for countless curlers, including Paralympic medalists.

Thank you, Sharon, for your leadership, passion, and commitment to making curling accessible for everyone. Your impact on our sport reaches far beyond the ice.

2025/26 Breaking Barriers Award Co-Winners: Sharon Morrison & Amanda Lynne Ballard

🥌 Sharon helped build the foundation of wheelchair curling in BC while coaching and developing many athletes, including Paralympic medalists, over multiple decades
🌈 Amanda Lynne founded the LGBTQ+ curling league Throw Rocks Not Shade and created welcoming opportunities for new and underrepresented participants
🤝 Both have been champions for accessibility, inclusion and belonging, helping make curling more welcoming and accessible across British Columbia
