Canadian Adventure for Health

It is with a heavy heart that we have chosen to change the date of the Canadian Adventure for Health Event. In light of the findings at residential schools in our country we felt it best to postpone the event.

We will announce a new date by August and hope you will join us then to have an adventure, have fun and raise funds for a terrific nonprofit charity organization.

Vernon join us for a safe and healthy adventure in your own community on Canada Day!

Funds raised will help hundreds of people in need of support right here in Vernon.

It has been a challenging year and we all need to celebrate our amazing country! So let's go on an adventure together while we are apart. For more information or to register go to www.canadianadventure4health.ca.

This fundraising event will have you going on a guided adventure with your family or people in your COVID safe bubble. Similar to a scavenger hunt, but with fun directions that do not require you to go into stores or businesses or even interact with other people, thereby making it a safe event.

This adventure is flexible and can be modified. You can spend an hour or the entire day exploring because you can modify the event so that it fits your unique family and needs. You can drive a car, ride a bike, roll a wheelchair or use your legs and walk the adventure.

The really great part is it can be done in any community! From small town Saskatchewan, to costal villages in the Maritimes to the big cities of Canada. We can all participate, get outside, explore, celebrate and know we are doing our part to support a nonprofit organization continue to provide free services to people in need.

But that's not all. We want you to snap, share and see photos from your adventures. You will be able to upload photos you take of the places you go on your adventure and post them on our page to share with fellow Canadian adventurers. Let's see how the rest of Canada is celebrating while we are asked to stay close to home.

And let's not forget PRIZES! For every $10 you donate to the John Rudy Health Resource Centre Association you will have a ballot entered into the draw for some amazing prizes. We continue to add to the prize list which includes a Summer Activities Prize Box valued at over $170, a years supply of Mitchell's Soup and your favorites from Old Dutch Chips!
