One of our canSkaters is inspired by one of our amazing Personal Assistants (PA) and hopes to become a PA one day too! 🥹💙 We couldn’t run our program as smoothly and efficiently without our incredible PAs. They truly make a difference! ⛸️✨

💙 SKATING BUILDS CONFIDENCE 💙

Every skater starts somewhere.

The first time they step onto the ice, they may be nervous. They might wobble, fall, and wonder if they’ll ever get the hang of it.

But with every lesson, every smile, and every small accomplishment, something amazing happens…

Share your pictures of your skater in the comments 🙂

Gabrielle had a competition in Huntsville this weekend, and we’re so proud of her! 🥰 She came in 2nd place in her Star 5 Free Skate! 🥈⛸️✨
As a little side project, she also crocheted a mascot for the club—a hedgehog wearing a skirt and skates! 🦔⛸️💕 Of course, they had to bring him along to the competition this weekend. 😊

The only problem… he doesn’t have a name yet! 😂

We’re open to suggestions! What would you name our little skating hedgehog? 🦔💖⛸️

🌟 THE BENEFITS OF SKATING FOR PHYSICAL LITERACY 🌟

Did you know that skating is one of the best activities for developing physical literacy?

Physical literacy is the confidence, competence, and motivation to move throughout life—and skating helps build all three!

⛸️ Through skating, children develop:
💙 Balance and stability
💙 Coordination and body control
💙 Agility and quick movement
💙 Strength and endurance
💙 Confidence in their abilities
💙 Decision-making and problem-solving skills
💙 Resilience by learning through practice

⛸️ Every glide, every stride, and every smile is a step toward a more active future!

Check out some of our Star skaters working on a wheel formation, specifically a 3-spoke wheel. The skaters are arranged around a central point, with each skater acting like a “spoke” of the wheel as they move around it. What a fun synchronous activity! Thanks coach Emilie !

Good afternoon, Edge parents,

It seems that we made an error on the Edge Program calendar. Unfortunately, our program will now begin on October 8th and will end on February 18th.
We sincerely apologize for any confusion this may have caused for families and participants. We are very grateful for your understanding and support, and we look forward to seeing everyone on the ice next week.

Thank you,
The Edge Program Team
