Good Afternoon , just a reminder that our Special meeting is next Wednesday Sep 2.

As the season is coming in hot and we only have a short time scheduled for this meeting, our goal is to be as productive as possible but still leave room for questions from members and answers from the board.

VMHA is excited to offer a FREE 6-week hockey program for female athletes who want to give hockey a try!

Thanks to the Every Kid Every Community Grant through Hockey Alberta, interested players can join us for six FREE one-hour practices designed to introduce them to the game in a fun and welcoming environment.

✨ No experience needed.
✨ No pressure.
✨ No tryouts.
✨ Just come out, learn, have fun and see what hockey is all about!

Our goal is simple: give more girls the chance to get on the ice, build confidence, meet new teammates and discover the game.

🏒 REFEREE CLINIC | SEPTEMBER 13 🏒

Our Vermilion Referee Clinic is just over a month away! Whether you're returning for another season or thinking about putting on the stripes for the first time, now is the time to get registered.

📅 Sunday, September 13
⏰ 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM
📍 Vermilion Stadium – Upstairs
⛸️ Includes a 1-hour on-ice session

The clinic will run similar to last year, with the online portion completed before the in-person clinic.

For officials who are under 15 as of December 31, 2026.

Coaching minor hockey? It’s a balancing act.

A little development.
A lot of learning.
A healthy dose of competition.
And ALWAYS some fun.

It’s celebrating the big goals, teaching through the tough shifts, building confidence, keeping practices moving and somehow finding that one missing water bottle. 😂

At the end of the day, great coaching is about helping kids get better, compete hard, be great teammates and love coming to the rink.

VMHA is looking for coaches for the upcoming 2026–2027 season.

Vermilion Minor Hockey Association is now accepting coaching applications for the 2026–2027 season.

To ensure a fair and consistent selection process, all coaching applicants will participate in an interview with our Coach Selection Committee. Once you've submitted your application, a committee member will be in touch with next steps.

On Friday June 19th VMHA hosted it's 2nd Vermilion Minor Hockey Par 3 golf tournament. We want to thank each and everyone of our sponsors they continually step up when we call upon them. Huge thanks to the 60 golfers who participated and supported this great event. Special shout out to Aaron and Bailey Snelgrove for donating there 50/50 winnings of $775 back to Vermilion Minor Hockey!!
