Some musky trips are bigger than the muskies...

Some fishing days are measured in inches.

Others are measured in the people you get to share them with.

This one started with changing conditions, a pattern that had moved, and a little bit of stubbornness. But somewhere along the way it became a story about fathers, sons, old memories, and why we keep coming back to these lakes year after year.

Ed has spent a lifetime around this stuff. The fish matter. The pattern matters. But sometimes the best part of a day on the water has very little to do with either.

This is one of those stories.

Some hopes and dreams become reality...
This one became about more than a fish.

Kenzie has grown up around boats, muskies and the people who chase them, but this summer she got a chance to make one of those memories completely her own.

There are a few fish in this film, some lessons about finding them, and plenty of the usual chaos that comes with musky fishing. But at the centre of it is a daughter, a place with some family history, and a moment I know I’ll remember long after this season is over.
