If you weight train ,focus on both the positive and negative of the exercise..otherwise you lose half it's effectiveness,and could injure yourself,,,

Beware of starch...pasta , bread....a mainly diet of protein and veggies,will do you a lot of good!! You'll still get carbs,but not ALL carbs are the same...
