🥋 2026 VAUGHAN BJJ INVITATIONAL - IN-HOUSE TOURNAMENT 🥋

This is a Gi only- Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Event for White, Grey, Yellow, Orange and Blue belts.

The Vaughan BJJ Invitational In-House Tournament is an in-house event to bring the local jiu-jitsu community closer, introduce new practitioners to competition and to elevate competitive comradery within the bjj competition scene.

We welcome all teams and affiliates from the Jiu-Jitsu community!!!

Date: Sunday August 9th
Location: 130 Racco Parkway, Vaughan
Format: Double Elimination
Divisions: Kids, Adults & Masters
Open to: All academies + affiliations in the BJJ community

Registration:
Early bird: $40 until July 15th
Regular: $50 after July 15th

What a weekend for Vaughan Jiu-Jitsu Academy 🙌

Our competitors represented on the international and local mats, and came home with results.

🥋 IBJJF Detroit Open
Congratulations to Kevin O for a commanding performance, taking Gold in both Gi 🥇 and NoGi 🥇
Congratulations to Kiera O for earning Bronze 🥉 after a hard-fought match. She was caught in the second half but showed real composure and heart throughout.

🏠 Trillium In-House Tournament
Big shoutout to first-timers Richard and Tessa, who both won their very first matches 👏 That first win is a milestone you never forget.

Thank you to our coaches, training partners, and families who support these athletes every day. Vaughan showed up.

• Time: 730pm to 930pm
• Event: Belt testing and grading
• What to bring: Full gi, belt, water, and notebook if you want to take notes

Grading info
• All students testing will be notified this week with requirements
• If you’re unsure whether you’re eligible to grade, please speak to your instructor before May 10
• Regular class members not grading are still welcome to participate in the Shark Tank
