VBJJ INVITATIONAL IN-HOUSE - THANK YOU! 🥋🏆

Thank you to everyone who came out to make our VBJJ Invitational a success. To our families who cheered all day, to every competitor who stepped on the mats, and to our incredible volunteers and management team who ran brackets, rings, and check-in - we appreciate you.

Results Highlights:
🥇 Kids & Adults Divisions - full brackets and medalists are live on Smoothcomp

🔥 Quintet Feature - DAWN SQUAD defeats DUSK KNIGHTS - Morning vs Night, winner stays on. Amazing energy from both teams in front of a packed house.

🥋 Black Belt Superfight - Jason "Panda" Frias vs Mike "The Hammer" Martelle - Thank you to both Professors for putting on a show for the community.

We saw so much heart from our youth competitors and our adult divisions. Win or lose, you represented Vaughan BJJ with respect.

We are officially supporting Lutando Oshawa on Oct 31st on Smoothcomp.

This is a great local tournament for first-timers and experienced competitors. Great organization, well-run brackets.

If you want to compete, please register on Smoothcomp under Vaughan Jiu-Jitsu Academy and let Coach know your division so we can coach and corner you.

Tomorrow is the Vaughan BJJ Invitational!

Doors open at 9AM for competitor check-in & weigh-ins.

Get ready for a full day of matches, our Morning vs Night QUINTET - Dawn Squad vs Dusk Knights, and our Black Belt Heavyweight Gi Superfight - Jason "Panda" Frias vs Mike "The Hammer" Martelle.

Competitors, please try to arrive in your gi to prevent backlog in the changerooms. Bring water, slippers and make sure you check in and weigh in before your matches.

Thank you to everyone who registered, volunteered, and helped set up. Let's make it a great day for the team and the community.

Civic Holiday Closure

Vaughan Jiu-Jitsu Academy will be CLOSED from Saturday, Aug 1st to Monday, Aug 3rd for the Civic Holiday long weekend.

Classes resume on Tuesday, Aug 4th.
