York Region Female Cricket Association - YRFCA

York Region Female Cricket Association - YRFCA Our goal is to provide opportunities for women of all age groups to learn cricket in a fun way. Sadly, there was no team from Canada.

In January 2023, first Under-19 Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup was organized in South Africa by the International Cricket Council. We aim to introduce and develop women’s cricket infrastructure in Vaughan with the ultimate goal of these young women representing Canada in international competitions. Women cricket teams from our community will also participate in various cricket competitions at the r

egional, provincial, and national levels. We will soon have a full-size dedicated cricket field in Vaughan at the North Maple Regional Park. We expect this cricket field to become the main training facility for our women’s cricket teams. We also want to make cricket accessible to women of all ages. Our plan is to have three different groups of women: Under-12, Under-19, and Adults. We strongly believe that the rapidly growing sport of cricket is an excellent medium to bring our incredibly diverse community together. We are confident that we will have full support of our community and major cricketing organizations at national and international levels.

YRFCA thanks our community and our members for supporting us in our first ever fundraising event.
