Turnout was off to a great start on Monday. It was nice to see so many of our regular players returning this year along with a few new members.

Important reminder!

If there is any chance that your shoes could eave a mark on the beautiful wooden gym floor please find another pair to wear.
Back when the school was built our club helped pay for the floor.
The caretakers went to a lot of work to refinish the surface again this summer.
Our club and school officials will have zero tolerance if your shoes are causing problems. You can help save the floor and and save yourself some embarrassment by checking your shoes carefully before heading out to play badminton.

Tonight we play badminton!

If you didn't register during pickleball night last Wednesday we will have a registration table at VCI to sign you up tonight when the main doors are unlocked after 6:00 p.m.

Cost is $35 and that allows you to play both pickleball and badminton on Wednesdays and Mondays respectively.

Another year of badminton begins Monday Sept 14, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.

This year your $35 membership allows you to play badminton on Mondays and pickleball on Wednesdays.

Pickleball begins Wednesday Sept 9 at 6:00 p.m.

Both nights end at 8:50 p.m.

That’s all folks.

Last night was the end of our season. We said our goodbyes.

We are so lucky to have so many thoughtful
and interesting members! A special thanks to Richard, Yvon, Yvan and others ( you know who you are) who faithfully showed up to help set up.

Claire stopped playing a few years ago but has continued to handle registrations and financial duties. We really appreciate your efforts Claire!

Many of us will keep in touch over the summer. Some will be switching over to pickleball on the courts in front of the high school on Mondays and Wednesdays (See Vankleek Hill Pickleball page for more details)

This year we’ve lost a surprising number of long-time members due to injuries and we are looking for additional help and leadership for next season. If you can commit to a regular schedule please let us know.

There is no badminton Monday, May 18 because it’s a legal holiday and the school will be closed.

If you are looking for fun and exercise that day, there will be drop-in pickleball at the outdoor tennis/pickleball courts beside the VCI parking lot, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

REMINDER:
Our final night to play badminton for our 2026 winter/spring season at VCI will be Monday, May 25. Still a few Monday & Wednesday nights remaining. Come on out and bring a friend!
