Happy New a bike Day to this family of 4! Look at that beautiful Coral colour! They came in to talk cargos bikes for transporting their two kids. They wanted something with a small footprint, something that both kids could fit on for years to come, they wanted it to be easy to ride, low maintenance and they are very different heights and wanted to share it. They thought they were describing a long tail like that had seen some of their friends riding, but after talking and test riding both with and without kiddos they realized they wanted the excellent Carrie2 from This bike has everything they wanted plus a super functional rain cover, a folding locking box for easier storage and multi stop shopping and for them it felt much better to ride with their cargo. This is the thing about box bikes vs long tails, box bikes ride better with weight, long tails ride just like your regular bike when they are empty but the ride changes as the cargo gets heavier. We love all cargo bikes but we always say think about your 80% Short ride with kids long ride without perfect for a long tail but if you are going to be full 80% of the time you will likely prefer a box bike. The Carrie is the box bike for people who are tight on space and want a compact city bike, you may think you only have room for a long tail but the Carrie may change your mind, just like this family.
