We have hip hop, breaking, popping, and a chance to join street styles 101 or 102 focusing on house, waacking, popping, locking, breaking, and grooving that all perform in our incredible year end production at The Centre in Vancouver for the Performing Arts - 777 Homer Street- in June 2027!! What an unforgettable experience. 🤍

ELEVATE Dance Intensives brought together passionate dancers, inspiring instructors, and so much energy, growth, and love for movement. From pushing outside our comfort zones to learning from incredible artists, every day was an opportunity to challenge ourselves, connect, and ELEVATE.

A huge thank you to every dancer, educator, and everyone behind the scenes who helped make these intensives so special. We’re so grateful for the memories, the hard work, and all the magic in the studio. 🖤

🩰 Sarah Brewer Clowes — Ballet
With over 46 years of experience as a dancer, choreographer, adjudicator, and master teacher, Sarah brings an incredible depth of knowledge and a passion for helping dancers develop their technique, individuality, and artistic voice.

🔥 Sevrin “Sevi” Emnacen-Boyd — Breaking
A longtime member of Vancouver’s street dance community, Sevi is an internationally recognized breaker, educator, performer, and judge with a passion for rhythm, musicality, and expressive movement.

👞 Kristina Linden — Tap
A multi-genre choreographer, performer, and educator, Kristina brings extensive professional experience in tap, musical theatre, film, and television—including performing as a principal dancer in the Opening Ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics!

🕺 Mackenzie Tenta — Hip Hop
Mackenzie brings a high-energy approach to Hip Hop, with experience in choreography, coaching, freestyle, and street styles including breaking, popping, and locking.

Our Beginner Hip Hop offerings are a fun, high-energy introduction to the style, with no experience needed. For ages 7+, dancers will explore grooves, musicality, dynamics, and choreography while building confidence, personality, and their own individual style. Most importantly? The Happening Dance is so honoured to welcome Bella Olsen into our studio for a special night of Hip Hop Pop Ups on Wednesday, August 26th!

Bella is a dancer, choreographer, and educator with an incredible background in Hip Hop and multiple styles. She has taught at renowned studios including Brickhouse NYC, Cambio Miami, and Movement Lifestyle LA, and has worked with MOTIV Crew as both a performer and educator.

We’re also beyond excited that our Advanced Showcase Team will have the incredible opportunity to work with Bella this season as she choreographs their Hip Hop routine! We cannot wait to see what they create together. 💫
