Getting the triangle with your leg circling the outside of your partner's arm is started from overhooking your partner's arm. Next, control your partner's free hand by grabbing all 4 fingers; and then, pull their hand underneath your guard; so, you can get the triangle position.

One of the sneakiest armbars you can do. When someone has you in turtle, look to control one of their arms. The focal point is to control their upper arm as tightly as possible; doing this, keeps you safe from your partner winning back control on you; plus, it's the critical feature in hitting the figure 4 armbar.

Control your partner's right wrist with both your hands and deadlift up to flip your partner directly into an armbar.

When your partner starts to posture to defend the omoplata, pummel your leg over their far shoulder to get the triangle.
