Hi everyone!

I’m Coco Ferrari, a lifelong advocate of healthy living, passionate about sports, and always eager for new adventures. From a young age, I’ve been involved in a variety of team and individual sports—everything from kick the can and red-rover red-rover to ice hockey, box lacrosse, tennis, and skiing. Sports have always been my outlet, a way to connect with others, set goals, and push myself to be t

he best version of me. For many years, I was accompanied by my incredible Doberman, Ava, who was more than just a pet—she was my partner in every sense of the word. Together, we loved meeting new people, building friendships, and exploring the world. Ava and I were extensions of each other, sharing an unbreakable bond that was full of agility, athleticism, and love. When she passed away after 14.5 wonderful years together, it left a huge void in my life. In the midst of my grief, I discovered something that has helped me heal and brought so much joy back into my world: pickleball. 🏓✨ This sport has reignited my passion for staying active and has given me a new community of amazing people who share that same enthusiasm. I’m excited to embark on this new chapter in my life, and I’d love for you to join me on this journey. Here, I’ll be sharing my experiences, what I learn on and off the court, and my take on this incredible sport that’s brought so much positivity into my life. Whether you’re a seasoned pickleball player or just curious about the game, there’s something here for everyone. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. Let’s celebrate new beginnings, cherished memories, and the pursuit of joy together! 💖🏓

One of the most important things Coco's Court has taught me is how to slow the game down.

Earlier this year I wore a heart monitor for two weeks after experiencing very high heart rates while playing pickleball.

When I later showed my cardiologist my Coco's Court Heart & Performance Report, she was particularly interested in the pattern over time.

We looked at July 22, when I reached 194 bpm playing singles at the BC Provincials. But what really interested her was how often I was able to bring my HR back down during play. She told me that if I could control my game that well, I was benefiting my longevity in the sport.

Yesterday I spoke with another player almost 20 years younger than me who also experiences high heart rates. He told me that seeing his HR climb increases his anxiety, which can make the whole experience even more intense.

That really struck me. This isn't necessarily an age thing.

It's also reminded me that better performance doesn't always mean playing harder.

Sometimes it means knowing when to slow the game down.

That's one of the reasons I created Coco's Court: to turn my Apple Watch data into patterns I can actually understand and use.

💚 Train smarter. Recover better. Play with confidence.

After months of building, testing, rebuilding, learning and more than a few late nights...

Coco’s Court is officially live on the Apple App Store.

This started with a pretty simple question.

I play a lot of pickleball. I compete. I wear my Apple Watch every time I play, and after every session it collected an incredible amount of information about what my body had just done.

Heart rate. Workouts. Sleep. Recovery. Calories. Training load.

But I kept asking myself:

What does all of this actually mean for the way I play tomorrow?

That question became Coco’s Court.

I wanted something that could take the information my Apple Watch and Apple Health were already collecting and turn it into something I could actually use as an athlete: how recovered am I, how hard have I been training, how did my body respond to today's session, and what do I need to do to prepare for the next one?

So I started building it.

Along the way, Coco’s Court became much more than the little app I originally imagined. I've tested it through practices, tournaments, multiple-session days, great recovery days and some very demanding ones. A wonderful group of pickleball players also agreed to test it with me and helped shape what it has become.

And today, it's no longer a TestFlight project sitting on my phone.

It's in the App Store.

That feels pretty incredible to write.

If you play pickleball with an Apple Watch and you've ever looked at all those numbers afterward and wondered what they actually mean for your performance, Coco’s Court was built for you.

It's amazing how many small pieces have to come together before an app ever reaches the App Store.

Today has been another day of crossing things off the list:

✅ Website complete
✅ Search indexing complete
✅ Google Search Console connected
✅ Sitemap submitted

Next up is preparing Coco's Court for App Review.

What started as my own search to better understand recovery, training, and heart rate after a serious injury has grown into something much bigger than I imagined.

My goal has never been to build "just another app." It's to create practical tools that genuinely help people perform better, recover smarter, and enjoy the sports they love for years to come.

Two days after my fall, I had my first physiotherapy appointment.

I thought we'd be talking about broken ribs, a fractured wrist and how long it would take before I could get back on the pickleball court.

My physiotherapist, Zach, noticed something I hadn't.

He had me wear my Apple Watch while doing some very simple mobility exercises.

Within moments, he looked at my watch and said,

"Stop. Sit down."

My heart rate had climbed to 174 bpm.

I wasn't running.

I wasn't playing pickleball.

I was simply doing basic rehabilitation exercises.

Zach explained my autonomic nervous system was still reacting to the trauma. My body was still in fight or flight.

I'd never heard recovery explained that way before.

That conversation changed everything.

For the first time, I realized recovery wasn't just about healing broken bones.

It was about understanding what my body was trying to tell me.

Looking back, that was the moment my journey toward Coco's Court really began.

Looking back, I don't think it was just a fall.

On January 18, after five straight days of pickleball, I was physically and mentally exhausted. As I headed back to my car, I decided to take a shortcut over a concrete barrier.

I fell.

I fractured my ribs, my radius and my scaphoid.

I remember thinking, "A couple of weeks of rehab and I'll be back." That's the kind of athlete I've always been. Put in the work, recover, and get back to doing what I love.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

Looking back now, I don't think that day was just about broken bones. It became the beginning of a journey that completely changed how I think about recovery, performance, and what our bodies are really trying to tell us.

That journey eventually led me to create something called Coco's Court, but that's a story for another day.

Next journal: The conversation with my physiotherapist that changed everything.

When opponents avoid hitting to you — it’s not an accident.
They fear your consistency, your control, and your ability to finish points.

Instead of getting frustrated, use it as an edge:
✅ Shift your position and stay visible.
✅ Read their shot patterns and timing.
✅ Attack decisively when you finally get the ball.
✅ Support your partner and keep energy unified.

If they avoid you, they fear your impact.
Stay patient, stay grounded, and let your presence do the talking. 💪🎾

Hello South Delta, welcome to Coco’s Court!
I am very happy to announce that I will now be hosting pickleball coaching and training sessions across the Lower Mainland as an IPTPA Level 1 certified coach.

Several years ago, I picked up a pickleball paddle for the first time. Since then, I’ve competed in 20+ tournaments, medaled in singles, women’s doubles, & mixed doubles, sometimes even against players decades younger. 🥇🥈

With a background in women’s ice hockey, box lacrosse, tennis and other racquet sports, I’ve learned that pickleball isn’t just about hitting a ball with a paddle- it’s about movement, strategy, teamwork, and mental toughness.

Now, as an IPTPA Level I Certified Coach, I’m here to help you build strong fundamentals, boost confidence, and enjoy every moment on the court.

📲 Follow my page for tips, drills, and updates as I continue my journey and help you with yours in becoming a pickleball master. Book your private session today I would love to help you reach your potential.
