Queer Van Hoops

Queer Van Hoops Queer Van Hoops is Vancouver's first ever queer basketball league.

The goal of the league is to build an inclusive basketball community for players of all skill levels while promoting equity, fair play, and most of all, fun! Queer Van Hoops is a queer-positive basketball league that creates a welcoming space for members and allies of the queer community to enjoy basketball. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, join us for fun, self-officiated 4-on

-4 games! Season & Games:
- Teams: 8 teams playing weekly on Mondays or Thursdays, 8 or 9 pm at Queen Alexandra (Clark & Broadway).
- Seasons: September–December and January–April (one registration in the fall covers both). Joining:
- Registration is first-come, first-served and opens somewhere between mid-late August or early September at the latest (Sign-up link is shared via email or social media).
- Players join individually or as pairs; teams are balanced by skill and selected by the QVH Committee.

Back by popular demand! Our second QVH BASKETBALL CLINIC of the season is here!!!!! 🥳🏀 The free clinic is open to everyone, especially those who might feel intimidated joining traditional leagues. Former, current, and future players welcome. Tell your friends 🙂

Happening this Sunday November 03, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at Britannia Gym A/B. Address is 1661 Napier Street, parking lot available on Venables & Cotton Drive. To enter to the gym follow the alley by the Britannia Tennis Courts!
