Back in April the Lykopis 3D Group headed out to the desert of BC to take down some foamy animals at the in Kamloops. Over two hot hot days the Team stalked and shot a challenging course. One of our Team Teddie ‘Tennie’ Geach Teddie hit the Podium at Second Place in Instinctive. Thank you kamloopstargetsports for putting on an awesome event! See you at Sasquatch!!

Lykopis is excited to announce our next Workshop: Beginner and Advanced Arrowcrafting! Whether you are after some eye catching arrows on the field or at the range, Lykopis Arrow Crafting will be here for you. Participants will be guided through creating their own personalized cresting on either carbon (Beginner) or wooden (Advanced) shafts. Beginners will then cut their fletch into a profile of their choice while Advanced students will learn how to cut self nocks with reinforcement from horn…all of this and more! At Lykopis we’ve made some pretty cool arrows: from boxing glove arrows for to grappling arrows for extreme tree climbing but this is the first time we have fletched arrows for whale tagging! British Columbia waters are home to 13 whale species and 10 dolphin species including the mighty Orca. Biologists use a crossbow to tag the whale in order to track its movements. The humpback whales that traverse our waters can come from as far away as South America or Hawaii on their way to Alaskan waters to feed and mate. Even the largest whale in the world, the Blue whale cruises through our waters. Such a special task for us here at Lykopis to play a very small but important part of Cetacean research.
