The PADI Rescue Diver course is all about building confidence, awareness, and practical skills so you’re better prepared to handle unexpected situations underwater and support your dive buddies when they need you.

It’s a hands-on course that combines learning, problem-solving, and plenty of in-water practice — and yes, there will be some challenging moments, but that’s all part of the fun.

You’ll learn how to:
Improve your own self-rescue skills
Recognize and manage stress in other divers
Respond to tired, panicked, or unresponsive divers
Handle emergency situations and equipment problems
Improve your awareness and decision-making underwater
Prevent problems before they turn into emergencies

Most importantly, you’ll come away with greater confidence in your own abilities and a better understanding of how to help create safer, more enjoyable dives for everyone.

🎶 My, my, my, my… DIRONA! 🎶

When you hear “My Sharona” but you’re a Pacific Northwest diver and immediately think…

MY DIRONA. 😂🤍

These frosty little sea slugs are basically the underwater version White-lined Dironas (Dirona albolineata) are translucent, delicate-looking, and covered in gorgeous leaf-like cerata edged in white. They come in shades ranging from frosty white to pink, lavender and orange — because apparently one look just wasn’t enough. 😉

And yes… they’re local! You can find them right here in our Pacific Northwest waters, including around British Columbia and Vancouver Island. So keep your eyes peeled on your next dive — especially around rocky habitat, docks, pilings and reefs.

Because once you spot one…

This fun, beginner-friendly experience takes place in a pool, giving you the chance to try scuba in a comfortable, controlled environment — without committing to the full Open Water course just yet.
