Humans are mirrors.
We look to identify with others or feel into what may be profoundly different in them.

Meet Alan Bolden. In this clip (from our deep dive with him in a luminary panel) he speaks to a philosopher by the name of Hans Gil Gadamer who had a big influence on his life. The message Alan took from this guide was that when we meet others, we have the opportunity to encounter our own prejudices.

Coming up against the other person's mirror allows us to explore where we do and don't connect. By interacting with other humans we are able to reflect on how our world views vary.

Perspective. Does it matter?

Defined as an attitude towards the regard of something; a point of view; a viewed impression. Many of us fall into the trap that our perspective is truth.

How often are we graced with the ability to CHANGE our core perspectives, and have that ripple throughout how we live our lives?

David shares his perspective and coins the phrase "it's all (meaning the STUFF) nonsense". If you have love, and you have those to support and be supported by, the rest really does not matter.

If your perspective is to hunt and trap all the stuff, the things, the shiny objects and don't make space and time for love, you don't end up having anything.

What a statement. Many of us are likely in this exact cycle.

Peter breaks down what he calls the "54th Gene Key", or, the trap of ambition. He refers to the euphemism "a goat climbing a mountain". The human being the goat, and the mountain as material success.

You're moving towards that promotion.
You're moving to a new company.
You're working to connect to the right people.

You work through, you get to the top, and suddenly, one of two scenarios arise. You've either become too run down, or, you've realized you're on the wrong mountain all together.

But, all is not lost.
If you find yourself on that mountain, don't throw those resources away. Use them to source a path to the right mountain. Your spiritual path.
