Yesterday I was lucky to get last minute ticket to VARC awards dinner night at Royal Vancouver Yacht Club. I had a great time with my racing buddies, food was great, met few new sailors too. Look forward to new winter racing season!

Nirvana had first race in 2022 season. Weather was good, and crew was happy to get together again after long break.

Polar Bear 2020 race #1.

Wind was very light and race was going slow but we had fun time learning how to deal with this kind of conditions.

Nirvana was racing in Div. 1 of RVYC Fraser River Lightships Regatta on Oct. 3. It was the only one official full crewed race held in 2020 because of COVID pandemic.

It was great to get full crew on board and have some fun while racing in pretty light winds and very thick fog which was a pretty unique experience for almost everybody on board.

Thanks for everyone who came and spent a great day on the water!

Time to start practicing!

So this is happening...

Under Phase 3 of the BC Return to Sport Guidelines, keelboats with crews up to 10 persons (including skipper) are able to play* again! If everything continues as it is now, here's a sneak preview.

Thank you to Drew Mitchell and everyone at the Vancouver North Sails Loft for supporting Polar Bear again this year!

*with some COVID-preventative measures that will be documented in the NOR

Thanks a lot to Nirvana crew for coming for RVC Summer Regatta! Winds were too light to make it really exciting but I hope everybody had a good time!

In preparation for 2019 racing season Nirvana was outfitted with new bowsprit from Selden. Thanks for everyone who was helping me with this big project to make us more competitive on the racing courses.
