Evaluation Schedule
You should attend the evaluation time for the division you currently play in, or the division you most recently played in. If you are unable to attend either evaluation session, the Board will use its discretion to determine the division that best reflects your skill level. If a new member is unable to attend evaluations, they would be placed on the wait-list for for the appropriate division and will be internally evaluated if a space becomes available.
Evaluation Structure
Evaluations for the Beginner through Competitive 1 Divisions (Beg, I1, I2, C1) will include two components:
A. Skills Assessment (approx. 90 min)
Players will be evaluated on four core volleyball skills:
Passing – The ball will be tossed to the player, who will execute a forearm pass to the setter’s position.
Setting – The player will set to three targeted positions: Outside/Power, Middle, and Opposite.
Attacking – The evaluator will set the ball to the Outside/Power, Middle, or Opposite position for the player to attack specific court targets (Positions 1, 6, and 5).
Serving – The player will serve from the baseline to designated targets on the court (Positions 1, 6, and 5).
B. Game Play (approx. 30 minutes)
Players will participate in three 10-minute games to assess court awareness and in-game decision-making. Previously evaluated skills will not be reassessed during this phase.
Evaluations for Competitive 2 through Competitive 4 (C2–C4) Divisions will consist only of the Game Play component.
